Online Book Study & Discussion of "The Color of Compromise" by Jemar Tisby starts Aug. 6
The idea of pastorhank.com has existed for several years – at least as a parked URL. It took losing my job and the termination of my ordination status in the United Church of Christ to give my ADHD brain the impetus it needed to learn how to use WordPress (with the assistance of nerdy YouTubers) and bring this site to life.
It is my wish that you’ll find things here that bring you joy, hope, inspiration, connection, and maybe some other things you didn’t expect or realize you needed.
I invite you to stumble along with me as I build out this site and find new ways to communicate, connect, and be in community with people who want to make the world a better place for everyone.
Thanks for stopping by; I’m glad you’re here.
I have created some subscription options for those of you who might be interested. At the moment, no content is restricted, so the subscriptions are gifts to help me get the site, content, and plans up and running. Subscription levels are:
Each subscription level renews monthly except for Thoughts & Prayers, which are always free and eternal. Bless Your Heart if you give anything from $5 to whatever amount you decide you’d like to donate. More details can be found if you click the “Register” button at the top of the page or click RIGHT HERE.
"Infinite diversity in infinite combinations." An imperfect future that is centered on the flourishing of all human and non-human life.
People of faith, no faith, or faith in a noodly appendage all have roles in creating and maintaining a world that is centered on abundance and equity.
"I am because we are." African wisdom echoed in Christ's call to love God, love ourselves, and love our neighbors.
Equity ensures that everyone has what they need, and not everyone needs the same. Equity was practiced by the very first followers of the Way of Jesus (Acts 2:44-45)
All people in their myriad ways of existing are worthy of affirmation and inclusion. There are no exceptions.
Learning and growth cease without questions. Faith dies without questions. Democracy does too.
